One of my goals for the dogs this upcoming year is to be more attentive to their dental health.

Bowdu is the easy one. His teeth basically seem to clean themselves. Not bad at all for a dog who’s going to be seven years old next week!

They do look amazingly white! Way to go, Bowdu.
gorgeous!
Bowdu’s teeth do look pretty good!
I kinda wish Sasha had been the one who’d really busted her tooth up. Juneau’s teeth don’t really need to be cleaned, but they will be next Tuesday when she goes in for her extraction. Sasha is the one who could use a teeth cleaning, but unless her chipped tooth breaks again, or another one does, I am very doubtful that Mom will ever get her teeth cleaned. It’s not exactly cheap and nobody around here does pet dental month discounts so there’s no incentive to get them done, despite what I have told her about how important clean teeth are for the rest of the dog’s health.
Oh well, I guess I’ll pick up another bottle of Plaque Off and keep giving it to Sasha and brush her dang teeth every or every other day, see if that helps a bit.
I am ashamed of Mac’s teeth, lol! How do you normally clean Bowdu’s teeth? Does he just sit there and let you brush them?
Honestly, I don’t have to actively do much for Bowdu’s teeth. He gets raw meaty bones and PlaqueOff. I go in there with the toothbrush about once a week or every other week. He’ll sit there and bare his teeth at me, which is fine because it exposes his teeth for brushing. It looks scary, but I can tell he’s bluffing because hey, at least the toothpaste tastes good.
Impressive pearlies!
Yeah to clean teeth!
