When we started feeding Primal Raw, Bowdu started singing for his supper. And boy can he carry a tune… This one is actually fairly laid back, more of an adagio con espressione instead of molto agitato.
I shut Bowpi in my study room (where she is fed separately) while I prepare their meals. Otherwise, she has a tendency to prance all over the kitchen which agitates Bowdu even more, especially since I seem to take sooooo –HURRY!!UP!!– long adding their various supplements. I don’t know if there’s anything I can do to make him less anxious other than to just behave as calmly as I can, myself. Besides, can I really blame him for loving food?
My dog used to get really crazy waiting for his food and would often knock me over. It was new. So I tried the Caesar method of making him have a routine of sitting at a certain spot and do routines to “work” for his food and he stopped. I don’t know if a work routine before food would help? It is cute though. lol
I’m sure that it’s annoying by now, but I cannot see how you can handle that without just sitting on the floor laughing at him! He’s soooo funny! I have never heard an animal larger than a parakeet make noises like that!
hahahha that really made my day! he’s such a funny puppy. hahahaha….
So cute! I love it! I would be talking back to him because I couldn’t help myself.
That is so cute. Sinjin makes the same sound when he is about 3 or 4 blocks away from his favorite dog park. I wish he would get excited about his food. He is a straggler and dainty eater.
Bowdu started eating way more promptly when the second dog entered the equation. He finishes his pre-made raw in less than a minute (despite his apparent tubbiness, he doesn’t get that much). This general excitement over food carries over to his kibble, which he still gets (we flip-flop back and forth between meals). I like experimenting with different kinds of food now, and it seems to keep them both interested in their meals.
Haha! Maybe I should record my Juju one day.
We could collect a bunch of singing Shiba tracks and arrange it together into a beautiful tune. It would be an instant smash hit.
aw this is so cute and hilarious. it also makes me feel so guilty. my Shiba is never excited about his food (kibbles and canned food)!
That is such a lovely tune, Bowdu! We do enjoy your range of singing abilities…do we sense a recording contract in your future?
Thank you so much for your kind words on our blog!! It really means a lot to have a fellow blogger to “get” what we’re trying to do. Most of our local “fans” don’t seem to be active online, so we don’t get too much feedback from the people we meet at our playdates. It’s nice to know that we’re appreciated!! Thanks again!!!
